Green space at Torturmplatz

Torturmplatz with its large green space is directly by the well-preserved remains of the city wall that house the Nibelung Museum. The fountains at ground level are refreshing on hot days. Wonderful flower arrangements and shady spots invite you to linger. As well as Siegfried’s Grave (Siegfrieds Grab) – a mound that is flanked by two large sandstone monoliths – there are also other “Nibelung gems” here.

From here you can walk directly to the Rhine promenade (about 950 metres) or, making a little detour, go through the “Nibelung quarter” and across Mathildenplatz.
